Shipping Administrator (37.5 hours per week)

Job Description:
Organise the correct incoterms, coordinate timely and most economic method of shipping the company’s products, both domestic and worldwide - by air, road or sea ensuring on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include:

  • Obtaining competitive quotes for shipments
  • Composing bank drafts and letters of credit
  • Communicate internally with all functions to ensure on time despatch of goods
  • Liaise externally with freight forwarders
  • Organise packing and picking lists, shipping and invoicing documents
  • Preparation of customs and excise documentation including A.tr, EUR1 and COFO document
  • Continually review and benchmark freight recovery costs, territory/shipments, as and when included
  • Log all shipments in all relevant spreadsheets
  • Assist customers with POD’s and Shipment queries when required

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all organisational levels
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while completing tasks on time
  • Attention to detail in communication and planning
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and multiple graphics applications

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of  ERP System
  • Past experience of working in the Shipping, Logistics or Freight Forwarding industry (imports & exports)

Production Operatives (39 hours per week)

Responsibilities include:

  • Operating machinery
  • Assemble and pack parts - as directed and in accordance with company procedures
  • Meet production targets
  • Ensure parts meet quality standards
  • Reporting machinery breakdowns
  • Completion of relevant paperwork
  •  Assist in the cleaning, organisation and maintenance of the production area(s)

Design Engineer

Responsibilities include:

  • Design of manual, pneumatic and cordless dispensing equipment
  • Design new products from concept to production
  • Work with development team to improve existing products through iterative design changes and provide engineering support cross functionally within the organisation                                                                       

Skills:

  • Ability to perform (when required) as a lead engineer, with experience in owning the successful delivery of new products, preferably within a multi-function development team
  • Established leadership qualities, coordinating peers, task management and status reporting to management team
  • Ability to work effectively across mixed discipline/skill groups
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently, without support in the fulfilment of design tasks
  • Able to clearly communicate within cross functional teams

Qualifications:

  • 1st or 2nd class engineering degree, or equivalent, preferably in mechanical/industrial design
  • Proven experience in the design of electro mechanical equipment or experience of electro mechanical systems
  • Design experience with plastic mouldings/castings/pressed metalwork
  • Working with design requirements and Product Development Processes to delivery new products
  • Highly proficient in 3D CAD (preferable Inventor)
  • Use of data management systems
  • Drafting skills – knowledge in the application of latest ISO specifications and industry best practices in engineering drawing definition and control (dimensioning standards/tolerance/geometric tolerance/ISO engineering handbook)
  • Experience of working in a Quality Assured environment experienced in the practical application of formal design tools such as DFMEA, design verification plans
